Farmington,
New York offers a splendid combination of suburban

County, which contains some of the most
spectacular scenery in the Finger
Lakes Region, Farmington also lies within the Rochester

constructed just half a mile from the Interstate.
Today's
Farmington is still mostly an agricultural community.
The town spreads over almost forty square miles of
lush, rich soil. Settled by Quakers in 1793,
Farmington residents are noted for the peaceful,
caring and industrious natures of the original
inhabitants.
A
number of small businesses thrive here, such as
Powerhouse Technology and the Finger
Lakes Coffee Roasters Corporation, which offers
more than one hundred different flavors of
hand-roasted coffee beans. The Finger
Lakes Gaming and Racetrack is a flourishing
company, offering live thoroughbred horse racing
during the warmer seasons, along with more than one
thousand video gaming machines to play on.
Farmington
residents enjoy their proximity to nearby Rochester,
and students have their pick of more than eleven colleges
and universities within easy driving distance.
The Rochester
Institute of Technology is in nearby Monroe
County, and the State
University of New York in Geneseo
is widely known for its excellence in education.
Farmington,
